I forced my fam to take this picture together on Christmas. I'm annoying, I know, but we rarely take big group shots, and I think they're fun to have... This is everybody but Lil E. She, unfortunately, was napping, and this was the only time we were all together so we couldn't wait for her. We are getting to be quite the crowd. Luckily, we have fun times together. You can tell Davis and Peter are laughing at some inappropriate thing in this pic. It's prob better we don't know what it is.

After Chiang Mai we flew south to hit up some of the islands... Phi Phi and Rei Lei. I could go on and on about how much we loved it there and how much we did, but I think I'll just leave it at I think they're prettiest places I've ever been, and we had a lot of fun snorkeling, sea kayaking, swimming around and relaxing.

After Bangkok we flew up to Chiang Mai for a few days. We played with the tigers (you already saw that), had a fancy dinner, and then headed off on a two day tour. We went up in the mountains, and visited a few villages, a bat cave, went swimming in a very pretty swimming hole, and then stayed at a very cute bungalow. The next day we got up and rode an elephant, went whitewater and bamboo rafting and visited a long neck village. Oh yeah, and our tour guide liked to sport his little turquoise jockeys every chance he got.

We spent our first two days of Thailand in Bangkok. We went to the weekend market, on a boat tour around the city, to the snake farm (you've seen those pics), to a temple, and the reclining buddha. We also had a crazy night out on the town with a little visit to the red light. It was the perfect way to recover from our 27 hours of travel. John and Nicole were so nice to let us stay with them and be our tour guides. Now they just need to move back to the US so we can hangout more often.

I woke up today REALLY missing New York. I spent the last little bit spying on people who still live there jealous about what they're up to. Maybe because the short window between Thanksgiving and Christmas was always my favorite time to be in the city. It really is the perfect place for Christmas. Maybe because I miss my job so much. Maybe because last Christmas was one of my favorite ones ever. Maybe because Mary was here this weekend and it made me miss our friends. Maybe because I miss having our own place to deck and I miss Davis and Lyla walking home with our tree. Maybe I'm just a little sad it's over. Good memories.

My mom took today day off work because we had Christmas sewing and baking to do. THEN I got REALLY sick last night. Since she had already taken the day she's been taking care of me ... Bringing me Dr. Pepper and water, turning on The View (Prince was on! Wish I was going to his show in NYC) grocery shopping, and taking care of Lyla. How lucky am I to have such a nice mom? Especially a mom who knows just what I would need to feel better. I don't think there's anything better than your mom taking care of you when your sick. Really, can you think of anything? This lil lady has been glued to my side today. I think she's worried about me. So cute!
