A Little Cheesy, But a Goody...

I recorded The Sing Off to watch when I was bored and that happened today... So I finished it off. I kind of loved this and hate to admit that it gave me the chills. I wish I could sing just so I could sing this one... It just looks like so much fun.

The Nutcracker

The day after Christmas we went to The Nutcracker. I LOVE going to the ballet here, and Davis loves "taking a $40 nap," so it works out perfectly.

A New Tradition

My friend, Lindsay, has a tradition of taking a picture of her family every year in front of the Christmas tree. It sounds really simple, but it's really fun to see how her family has changed every year. I liked the tradition so much, I copied it. Here's our Christmas #1...

"Watching the Wheels"

When I was in 7th grade I was in this weird class called Autonomous Learner Model "ALM." The whole point of the class was to conduct a research project. We could choose whoever we wanted to research, it just had to be "a great." I asked my teacher if I could do my research on John Lennon, and she said she didn't think he was "a great." After a week or so went by, I asked her again and begged and begged her until she eventually let me research John.

I had a fun time learning about John, and at the end of the year we had a "Night of the Greats," and I got to dress up as John wearing my mom's old bell-bottoms.

Last week was the anniversary of his death, and Davis and I happened the be running through the park past Strawberry Fields that night. There were tons of people singing and dancing around, and everyone was really into it. My favorite song we sang was "Watching the Wheels." It was kind of a magical little moment.. all of these randoms coming together to sing and sway...
I love finding little treasures like this in the park.

i hate to admit that the movie made me a little obsessed with jacob. i've never seen anything like the reaction to him in the theater. it was out of control. in other news, after i saw the movie for the second time we ran into carlisle. random, right? he was attending a premiere at the theater we were at.

Bringing Home the Tree

Cousins

According to some of the comments, texts, and calls Davis and I have been receiving it appears that some people think there might be a baby on the way (thanks for getting the ball rolling, Nici). I'm sorry* to report that Lyla is the only cousin we'll be adding to the fam for quite sometime.

*Actually, I should say I'm happy to report this since we haven't even been married for a year and baby on the way would just be too too much to handle. According to Davis, we're just too young for that business...

Brothers

The best part of Thanksgiving was getting to meet baby Lincoln and hang out with Emerson. He's heading into my favorite stage of just learning to talk. They're both so cute.
