"It's Your Love"

Are you ready for a Valentines list???

1. I’ve always kind of been a sucker for the cheesy cheesy song. If you knew me in high school, you would have heard me belting it on road trips. Too bad those days are over. I just really love Faith and Tim.. So here’s the best love song ever for your enjoyment….

2. I’m pretty happy about my Valentines Day gift. Davis is so good about paying attention to what I have my eyes on. In this case, it wasn’t too difficult for him because I had informed him of the “nightmare” I had a couple of weeks ago about this particular item selling out before I bought it. I think I officially have a shopping problems…. dreaming about items selling out?? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

3. Speaking of dreams.. I’ve been remembering mine everyday lately. Two nights ago I dreamed that three of my teeth fell out, but not just the teeth, it was the gums and everything. It looked like part of a denture. I was carrying it around looking for a dentist to put it back in. It reminded me of when I had braces, and whenever I would go in to get them tightened I’d dream about my teeth that night because I was in so much pain.

4. Last week in my writing class we had to write about something that we hate. Don’t worry, the girl sitting next to me wrote about, “couples, happy couples.” She kind of scared me when she said it like she was going to kill the next “happy couple” she saw.

5. Since everyone has been asking… At work we won $11 in Mega Millions so we’re going to put that money back in on Friday… Keep ‘em crossed again!!

6. If I don’t win Mega Millions.. I’m sure I’ll win big at the roulette table in vegASS this weekend. For some reason whenever I think of Vegas, in my head I say it as “vegASS.” I was at a DMB concert down there, and Dave was obviously wasted out of his mind and after every song he would say “vegASS,” in a really low voice into the mic and the crowd would go crazy everytime... It’s funny how the most random things stick in your head years later. Anyways…we bought tickets today, and we’re flying out tomorrow. I’m just excited for 70 degrees of dry heat. HOLLA!

7. My body is hurting. Yesterday I had a free workout with a trainer, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING.… Although I have to admit the best part was the stretching out at the end. I laid on a massage table while he stretched me out. Seriously… it felt like a massage.. I kind of dozed off at the end he had to tell me a couple of times to get off the table.

8. I’m recovering from the news that Josiah didn’t make the top 24 on AI last night. SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY? I really don’t understand this choice. He was so good, so so good, and different, and talented, and cute… I kept thinking Paula was going to run to catch up to him to tell him they made a mistake… I’m still in shock. I was really looking forward to him.

9. If you have a minute today, read this article. It’s really annoying, and it makes me sick. Why do people have to be such freaks?

10. I’m trying to do damage control because of what Davis posted yesterday about putting Rocco in the scooties. He’s committed the unpardonable for the Harrison family.. being mean to poor little Rock Dog...

Happy Valentines Day!!

Last night on Idol everyone kept singing Bryan Adams songs. I woke up today with this little diddy in my head, and I can't get it out. Here's the rockin video...

BTW.. I feel like everyone on that stupid show is so good this year. And I love that cute little boy from Utah.. He's so so so good.... I'm pretty sure Simon has a crush on him...

"All For Swinging You Around"

The other day Davis downloaded some songs that I used to listen to all the time but had kind of forgotten about. This is one of them that is making me happy lately.

Something else that is making me happy is The Lust List it's a little site that periodically gives away good stuff. A couple of weeks ago I won a drawing there and got the flip video. HOLLA! If you have some extra time you should check it out... You might just be lucky enough to win something fun too.

Speak Now ... Or Forever Hold Italy's Nuclear Waste

Here's an article that everyone should read and respond to. Energy Solutions seriously makes me sick to my stomach.. I can't even think about. UGH... Here's what my brother had to say about the article, and I think he makes some good points. It's something to consider...

I think it's a shame. For most people who have never been there, in their mind, Utah is a place of natural beauty. I don't think you'd really feel that by driving around Salt Lake City - open gravel pits on either side, refineries, an eyesore copper mine. So, the fact that Utah might be accepting other country's nuclear waste doesn't seem like a huge change in policy. Instead I think it simply reveals a strong short-term, utilitarian perspective of nature that is completely unsustainable.

As an aside, I have a friend that grew up west of Tooele. She's had two children, both with severe birth defects. Last time we met, she noted that all of her friends that have had children have had some sort of birth defect. I think it's naive to think that storing dangerous waste doesn't eventually trickle back into the society storing it.

Finally, Energy Solutions, simply the name, is one of the ugliest, most blatant forms of Orwellian double-think I've ever heard. I'll start a private prison and name it "the play time and learning center." Sorry, rant over.

Last month for book club we went to Barbounia a yummy yummy Greek restaurant to discuss "Middlesex." I think everyone thought it was kind of strange, but a good read. So if you’re in the mood for a something that’s pretty crazy you should pick up.

After finishing Middlesex, I wanted a quick easy read.. so I picked up "The Jane Austin Book Club. " I do about 90% of my reading on the subway on my way to and from work. While reading, I’ll occaionally look around and spy on what other people are doing. This usually consists of Nintendo, listening to Ipods or reading magazines. This day, the girl standing right next to me was reading a book called “Harlem Heat” by none other than 50 Cent. The caption read, A Mother Daughter Team set Fire to the Streets. Ah… who knew 50 Cent was a published author? The book looked pretty amazing so I’ve decided to propose it to the club for our March read. If you’re looking for something to read.. I’m sure it’s going to be a classic, you should check it out.

I think I have a new obsession... Jonny Lee Miller, in Eli Stone. Oh my, oh my.. Did anybody else watch this last night? He's a sexy one, and I thought the show was pretty cute and funny. Every time George Michael was on I couldn't help but crack right up. February's gotta be the most depressing month, and with nothing to watch on TV, it's even worse. Looks like Jonny is gonna save us all from killing ourselves. HOLLA! PS.. He was married to Angelina. Why does she get all the sexy men?
